Forming new Dallas Tactical Shooting Group

Read about new Tactical Shooting Group.

I am looking at starting a Tactical Shooting Group here in Dallas.  Ideally I am looking to plan one or two shooting meetings a month for this.  I will look at coordinating these events with various instructors/ranges in the North Texas area for people who are interested in shooting tactical weapons.  If you are interested, please send an email to me at info@civiliantacticalweapons.com.  Until I can get a more formal automated sign up system on the website, this will be the best option for now.  Please include the following if interested:

1)    Name

2)    Number of Years Shooting

3)    How often you shoot (Weekly, Monthly, a few times a year)?

4)    What type/model of Tactical Weapons you own (this is important since I don't want to plan events that people do not have the firearms to be part of them).  You don't have to list out everything you own (trust me, that might take me a week to do myself).  I am looking for if you have weapons that fall into these catagories and what the best one you have is for that category.

    a)    Pistol    (9mm Minimum)

    b)    Shotgun/Combat Shotgun

    c)    Carbine (Carbine with minimum 16" barrel) (would recommend .223/5.56 or .308/7.62…with ammo prices I am sure everyone would                 rather do .223/5.56)

    d)    Sub Machinegun (semi-auto and legal (if you have an SBR PLEASE be sure to have proper documentation along with it incase anyone     asks.  Personally, I am do not care, but I do not want to get in trouble over it.)

    e)    Long range precision rifle

5)    How often can you attend such a shooting event?

6)    Email Address

7)    City you are located (I want to line up events centrally located between most active participaters)

8)    Physical limitations/issues (I want to bring this up since some of the events I am looking at want to do are team fire and movement excercises.  If you have any physical limitations, please mention them here. The events would most likely be more of short sprints, movement from cover to cover (which means a lot of crouching, standing, etc).  I know for most these may sound like strange questions but I want to make these events enjoyable for as many members who can attend.

9)    How much you are willing to pay for a major event (not a normal day at the range but more of a course)? (This is not something I am trying to make money off of.  These would be course fees paid to the instructors who run them.  You would most likely pay these directly to the instructors/ranges.  Since I don't own my own range to be able to do these types of things, we must use someone elses facility.  If I get an idea of what people are willing to pay, I can coordinate with instructors on what we would like to put together.  Typically these course range from $100 to $500 depending on how many hours and if they are multiple days.)

10)    Phone number (optional)

Also, if any of you have "un-incorporated land" that we could use to shoot on outside of the city limits and would be legal to shoot on, we could definitely design some creative activities around that and drop the costs of being able to do these types of events.
