Beretta CX4 Storm Optic Options

Background

I received numerous emails specifically on the Beretta CX4 Storm and the optic options for it. There was a lot of questions about various options and I figured it would be best to illustrate the individual options and how they would sit on the gun, including visuals of the optics mounted on the gun. I have included three of the most common tactical options, which are the Eotech (we show a 516), Aimpoint CompMx (doesn’t matter if it is a CompM2, ML2, M3, or ML3) and the Aimpoint Micro T-1. All of these are excellent options on their own, but I wanted to illustrate the good and bad of each of them for a Beretta CX4 Storm. Please note, if you are looking for any of the above, I have the entire Aimpoint Product Family on the store front, various other products I also sell, but do not have them listed. Please email me for specifics if you need it.

Eotech 516

The Eotech 516 is a great upper mid grade Red Dot Optic system. In general, Eotech is a top tier optic option, second really only to Aimpoint. From a price conscience option, the Eotech is definitely a better option than other red dot scopes. What I want to cover specifically is how this optic pairs with Beretta CX4 Storm.

So the breakdown of the Eotech is as follows. The main short coming is the inability to utilize the iron sights of the weapons. The Eotech sits up to high on the picatinny rail system that it completely blocks the iron sights. However, if you have no issue with being unable to ever use your iron sights, the Eotech is a very cost effective optic to put on the Beretta CX4 Storm.

The other thing that may annoy some is the charging handle of the Beretta tends to get in the way of the tightening screw on the side of the Eotech. This causes you to have to place the optic very far forward on the gun. I have utilized an Eotech 512 in the past that did not have this quick access screw on the side.

Aimpoint CompMx Series

A popular option is using the CompMx Series of Aimpoint products. Click HERE to buy this optic from us. We prefer to use the Quick Release Mount from Aimpoint WITHOUT any spacer options. Remember, we want to keep the axis very low to the gun. Any of the CompMx Series of Aimpoint optics allow you to have a quick reaction red dot sight picture and have the iron sights barely in the picture on the farthest bottom portion of your optic. This gives the benefit to those who are looking for a something to co-exist with their iron sights.

Unfortunately, this does not line up perfectly with the iron sights on the Beretta Storm. This is still a good option for someone who plans on never using the iron sights at all, but still wants them sort of available in the unlikely event something goes wrong with the electronic sights.

Aimpoint Micro T-1

The Aimpoint Micro T-1 is my recommended favorite layout on the Beretta Storm. Click HERE to buy this optic from us. The Aimpoint allows it to pair up and co-exist perfectly on the Beretta Storm with the iron sights. I recommend folding down the front peg sight and pushing the rear sight forward so it is folded down took. With this option you have lowered all of the sights and have a clean Red Dot picture. So if you look through the back of your Beretta Storm sight you have just the red dot instead of the Micro T-1.

What I like about this is you are lined up perfectly with your iron sights if you need to use them. With your eye not trying to focus on both front sight and rear sight picture (which you should always be concentrating more on your front sight anyways), At the end of the day, this is the best option for the Beretta Storm because of this.
